Dear Friends and Church Partners,
For
many of you …. Happy New School Year!
Support
level: We are
currently at 72% of our needed support (up 20% since our last update!). CTEN
will allow us to buy plane tickets when we hit 75%, this is only another 150.00 in monthly giving that needs to be
raised. We are trusting the Lord for His provision, our goal is to be as close
to 100% support before we leave for the field. Late October is our new target departure date.
Please pray for more partners and churches to send us out!
Kingdom Kids/Ban
San Rak Ministry in Thailand: We now have our assignment in Chiang Mai! We will be working with
the Kingdom Kids/Ban San Rak ministry, one of FCF’s projects. This ministry has
homes for abandoned/ orphaned children. More details to come!
Local
Ministry (Camp Speaker + Jail Ministry): In July, Jason was the elementary camp
speaker at Grace Haven Bible Camp in Fillmore, Utah. Moriah went with him and
had fun running around with the pastors’ children. They came back covered
in dirt. J On Fridays, Jason and other
believers from our church are sharing the gospel
with the prisoners at the local jail. Many are
from this county that we live in and have never heard the Biblical gospel
before. Hearts are open, please pray for these men.
Kindergarten:
We have a
kindergartener! Moriah will attend the local charter school here in Ephraim
before we head back to Thailand. Both Moriah and mom are excited to have a
little break from homeschooling. J
Thank you
for your continued prayers and partnership in the gospel.
Blessings,
-Jason & Jenn
THAI CULTURE CORNER
FEET…they’re
a BIG DEAL!
Thai people really don’t like feet.
It is considered the lowest part of the body, whereas the head is the
highest/holiest.
You would NEVER in front of a
Thai person…
-put your feet up on anything (ie
coffee table, a chair, etc.)
-use your foot to move/pick up
something or turn off a fan
-allow your foot to be pointed at someone
when sitting
